WHAT DOES THE VOYAGER PTA DO?

Often times we are asked what does the PTA at Voyager do??

The Voyager PTA supports our school community, both behind the scenes and in the spotlight.

Below is a summary of our programs and how much the PTA budgets to support these items.

Emergency Packs

$600 - $700 Per Year

Each year before school starts the PTA crafts an emergency bag for each student, staff and teacher. These bags are stored in the classroom in case of emergency then handed out to each student at the end of the year.

Water Filters

$600 Per Year

Water station filters. We like to keep our vikings healthy and the PTA has funded two water filters on school property.

Lost & Found Station

$800 Investment

Cant find your kiddos jacket? Well now there is a great little spot at the school where all the lost items are placed.

School Beautification Efforts

$400 - $500 Per Year

Occasionally something needs to be spruced up, the school comes to us and asks if we have the ability to support and we love to do this. Recently it was replacing the flower pots at the entrance of the school

Teacher and Staff Appreciation

$2500 Per Year

We know we have the best staff at our school. We use this line item for Teacher Appreciation Week and other times we need to support them.

Teacher Grants

$8000 Per Year

The PTA offers full time staff $250 per year and part time $125. Our staff always needs extra items and this line item supports them and your student.

Assemblies

$2500 Per Year

The PTA has a line item to support up to $2500 in assemblies.

Reflex Math Subscription

$5000 Per Year

By request of the staff we fund the school wide subscription of Reflex Math.

STEAM Night & Mystery Science Subscription

$3700 Per Year

We use this line item to support our STEM and STEAM initiatives at the school.

SEL Learning Grant

$12,000 for 23 - 24 School Year

During the 2022 Totally Tiki Auction our generous attendees funded $12,000 in Social Emotional Learning . This line item includes: Sensory Pathways, Sensory kits for each class, Sensory Room, SEL Focused Assemblies, and Character education.

Field Day

We use this line item to support Field Day each year as needed.

Field Trip Scholarships

$500 Per Year

We strive to be inclusive and sometimes our community needs help, this line items supports this.

GHHS Scholarship

$500 Per Year

We love our alumni and are happy to partner with GHHS and PHS scholarship foundation to give a scholarship each year.

The PTA keeps a line item for a donation to each of these programs.

Peninsula Hands on Art Donation

$1000 Per Year

This incredible program is one that all students benefit from in the entire district.

Junior Achievement (Biz Town) Donation

$1000 Per Year

All 5th graders get to attend this fun field trip. This donation helps ensure all future classes can attend.

Camp Seymour Donation

$1000 Per Year

All 5th graders get to attend this fun field trip. This donation helps ensure all future classes can attend.
